Ailbhe Reddy – Shoulder Blades
Tell me how did I get here?
Some endless, pitiful affair
Drag my body upstairs
And look in the bathroom mirror
Oh I don’t recognise myself
My God, look at the state of me
This is so embarrassing
Won’t you take me home?
‘Cause I need to forget everything
If I stand a chance
Of beginning again
No more staring at the ceiling
Beginning again
No more staring at the ceiling
Last night was a shitshow
I bet you’re glad that you weren’t there
Bruised my ankle and ego
But then again, why would you care?
Oh I don’t recognise myself
My God, look at the state of me
This is so embarrassing
Won’t you take me home?
‘Cause I need to forget everything
If I stand a chance
Of beginning again
No more staring at the ceiling
Beginning again
No more staring at the ceiling
My God, look at the state of me
This is so embarrassing
I need to forget everything
No more staring at the ceiling
Everything
No more staring at the ceiling
Waiting for the morning…
If I spend every waking moment trying to win you back
Come on and tell me what’s the shame in that, shame in that?
If I spend every waking moment trying to win you back
Come on and tell me what’s the shame in that, shame in that?
My God, look at the state of me
This is so embarrassing
Won’t you take me home?
